Rescue Election by Joakim Eide is a floating sculpture, intended to be displayed in relation to the poetry-speech Democracy in Deep Waters (2025). Rescue Election consists of cork, nylon and belt. The Sculpture is shaped like a safetyvest and spells out the “Stem”, the norwegian word for “Vote”. Rescue Election explores the basis of democracy in relation to surveilence captitalism.

The project was first displayed in the group exhibition (KAL)EIDOSCOPE at Lysverket, Kode.
At the finissage event, Joakim Eide performed the poetry-speech Democracy in Deep Waters (2025).
